Even LARIAN STUDIOS thought this was a clever play!

So you drop the potion, drop the hammer killing you both and the potion gets crushed, you absorb the potion and get healed back to life? That was pure genius. I’ll have to try that.

Here's to the small brain gang that beat the shit out of the boss and didn't connect the dots with the hammer.

I honestly didnt understand how she didnt die until I watched the Larian interview. The healing potion she dropped shattered and healed her after the hammer had already crushed and killed her, bringing her back to life 😅 Those are some crazy interactions!

When your game is so well designed that even the unexpected stuff still works

I think the director of Larion studios saw this, and mebtioned how ingenious it was in an interview when the interviewer asked "Are there some systems you weren't planning on being a thing in the game?"

It's actually difficult to be this creative with solutions after it being discouraged or not implemented in so many games up until now. It does feel insane when you work out a creative solution though.

There was one door that was stuck and wouldn’t open so I threw a grease bottle on it as a joke and it ACTUALLY WORKED 😂

That's the single most creative move I've seen in this game, I'm honestly impressed.

This reminds me of the vampire news photographer in Ankh-Morpork (Discworld).
He keeps a tiny vial of blood (not human! Not a drop! Member in good standing with the Black Ribboners) around his neck. When the flash from the camera invariably causes him to disintegrate, the subsequent breaking of said vial is sufficient to restore him. RIP Sir Terry.

This is due to the technical design of this game. GOTY deserved. No other game this year has physical interaction to this level.

The fire bolt move was genius. The potion drop/shatter was next level, tho.

Never would’ve thought of this God-tier strategy, especially for this particular hulking pew-pew sponge. Absolutely epic work.

This game is an adjective-destroying masterpiece.

"I killed myself to kill an adamantine golem."

"Wait what!? How are we having this conversation then!?"

"I got better."

the more I hear about this game the more impressed I am by the detail the devs put into it. I remember as a kid when I played videogames I'd always go around and do all these tiny things that make sense and probably should have been implimented like going around something that you normally wouldn't go around but should still probably work only to be disappointed by how, like, 90% of the time they didn't work even though it probably should have because the devs never thought to add it.

kid me would have fucking THRIVED in this game I swear to god

Baldurs Gate 3 is the new golden standard of how to properly design games.
