Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do. I'm probably not specific. I'm trying to get- Wii RVL-001- Because the wii and gamecube games are a lot harder than today's games.

As a kid I never understood what the ports on the side were for, now a days it's nice to know I have a Wii and Gamecube

I cleared out a “storage unit” as part of my job. I managed to find a fully working gamecube with a few games and a controller, and a working gameboy color. It was a pretty good score.

Fun fact, my dad has one of these until today, it’s in my room and I use the controller with a switch/PC adapter

I already have a Wii U that plays Wii games, so rather than set up another Wii, I’d like to have my very own GameCube.

Then I can also used the game boy player.

I still have one from when my older siblings where kids their in there 30’s so it’s pretty old and it still works fine

You can tell if the Wii is compatible with GC games if the Wii logo is perpendicular (90 degrees) to the disc slot. You don't even have to look for the GameCube accessory slot.

The GameCube is my favorite console of all time. I have 4 of them now. I highly recommend getting one. It has one of the biggest first party library of games. And all of them slap.

If you're going to go with a gamecube over the wii, you should also get a DOL-001 version for futureproofing. It has digital video out that would work better with specific hdmi adapters for the GC, and has an additional port on the bottom that you can get an SD card adapter to play ripped iso files easier.

Also, the gameboy player is awesome, can't be used on the wii, and you don't need the official startup Disc for it if you plan on getting homebrew set up on it (which is usually the more expensive part of the combo).
