UE Boom Not Charging

Has your UE Boom speaker stopped charging? I found this novel solution.

Thank you! This actually worked. Placed my UE into the fridge when I went to bed and the device was fixed in the morning. I previously tried pushing all the buttons and even saying a rosary. Nothing worked and my device was heading to heaven when I found your video. Amazing! Thanks again.

Believe it or not this worked for me. My Megaboom is about 2.5 years old and was working fine up until about two months ago so I bought a new one and was about to toss the old one when I realized I hadn’t even googled possible fixes. Well last night I popped my speaker in the freezer for about 2 hours but it yielded no results. This morning I decided to give it another go but this time I placed it in the fridge for about 3 hours and when I placed it on the charger it started charging for the first time in months. Good news is I now have 2 megabooms and the Party Up is intense. Thanks for sharing.

This actually works. My Boom 3 would not charge no matter how long I had it on the charger. Put it in the fridge for 2 hours and now it's charged and working properly. Thanks for this

Today mine didn't charge so I was googling for some answers, saw your video and was about to put it in the fridge, but then I thought maybe there is a reset or something.
I held down all 4 buttons, Volume + - Power and Sync for a few seconds, then let go, then I looked at the bottom and my charge light is now blinking.

Wow, I've been trying different cables/chargers and it just sat there dead. Watched this video and as if it overheard that it was going in the fridge- the charging light went on! Thanks for the help! 10/10

No freaking way ! It worked !!! My speaker has been dead since Nov 2016 . It actually worked I put it in the fridge for about 3 hours . It really worked! Thanks !!

amazing! my boom 2 was not charging. try doing these steps which is what I did.
put it in the frezzer overnight, then if it turns on, reset it. turn it off and plug it in overnight or for a few hours. turn it on and download the speaker app. update it and voila! I did all this and I am happy! I thought it was broken but surely it had several blockages. I was going to throw it away. thanks!!

This worked on the UE meagboom thanks Mr Tammik !! I think the reason this works is there is a thermal sensor on the battery pack (sensor is a V51 S) connected to the battery BMS under the 10pin connector on the battery, freezing the battery pack for 1 hour worked for me - if the battery is inside the boom, id refrigerate (not freeze) overnight :) Thanks again !

After a good hour of testing different chargers and watching videos, as soon as i finished watching this video was about to put it into the fridge.. but then i realize my UE boom decided to randomly start charging.. so thank you

OMG you are better than santa on Christmas, I sat all afternoon watching vids on YouTube on how to get my UE mega boom to charge and to no avail. I get home from work later in the evening and my GF has watched this video and fixed the damn thing by sticking it in the fridge. That too yours is for a UE boom 2. Brilliant mate !
