How to Avoid Getting Injured from the Deadlift

Показать описание
Today we're going to learn how to avoid getting injured from the deadlift. The deadlift is often seen as a dangerous exercise, but I disagree. I think the deadlift can be a safe, and very productive exercise if you follow these four deadlifting tips for safety.
Deadlift tip 1: Keep your arms straight
Deadlift tip 2: Keep your back flat
Deadlift tip 3: Deadstop deadlift, especially if you're a beginner or intermediate.
Deadlift tip 4: If you start to feel a burning or pinching sensation in your very lower back, stop the set and you're done deadlifting for the day.
These seem obvious but when I walk through a commercial gym I can't help but realize nobody actually follows these principles, and it can lead to injury. We're trying to stay safe while deadlifting.
