omfg, I thought I was the only one tapping the spacebar with my right index finger with average of 110wpm. And now im trying to find out if that was the cost of not getting any faster then my current typing speed. I guess, right index finger for spacebar isnt that bad 😅

Fun fact you can press crtl+backspace and it will delete the whole word

I started off last year only using 3 fingers with 45 wpm max. When I started using all 10 fingers it dropped to 27 wpm. Currently now pushing 110wpm but my most accurate would be around 72 wpm. Also if you do punctuation it decreases your wpm by 10-18 so I would practice punctuation if I were you.

it helps to have shorter nails too! so you dont click multiple keys!

U need to see how fast U can type on a manual (an old fashion typewriter, no electric). Very diff from computer keys! I'm retired but bk in 1978, I was 13 & got to 85 wpm at the end of semester! You had to push the carriage when it came to your right margin. So that took about 1 to 2 seconds. Those are still around. Yes, I finally got an electric typewriter, that increased my speed a lot better!

Omg! I use the same finger for spacebar, and I average and stuck around 70wpm. I thought of using index finger as a bad habit to not reach 100wpm, so I wanted to try the thumb but my brain couldn't.

I used to be like that, just try to relearn everything again, it may be a lot slower to start with but I went from 80-90wpm to 100-110 wpm

I’m stucked at 110wpm. Decided to learn touch typing I’m starting out at 30wpm. Haha
