Even higher-end Nvidia cards are now in trouble, as Hardware Unboxed's benchmarks of the Last of Us showed that the RTX 3070 is struggling due to VRAM limitations. Learn more about this issue and Nvidia's approach to VRAM, as well as AMD's upped memory on the 6000 series, in this gaming news update. 2022: 4 GB VRAM is great for 1080p gaming
2023: 8 GB VRAM shits it’s pants

The VRAM wouldn't have been a problem if AAA devs *optimized their fucking games*

U can give a GPU 100gig vram and dev will find a way to surpass this with a dogshit port.

Solution: just Don't play that unoptimized crap

thats why i bought the 3060, because of the 12GB of vram
i'm not a gamer but i love running AIs, renders with blender and hight quality realtime game engines (nowadays the podium is fully owned by ue5)

When AMD launched their GPUs with 16GB everybody says they were crazy because no game uses that much VRAM.
It's just don't how Nvidia brainwashed a whole PC gamer generation.

Really the real problem here is Naughty Dog giving us a horrible port of the game…

The Arc A770 Limited Edition is starting to seem really fucking worth it

It’s ridiculous that The Last of Us launched with basically a requirement of an 4090 or 7970XT. I get that VRAM limits are getting higher, but come on gaming studios!

That's true on my secondary laptop it has a gtx1650 with 4gb vram and whenever in any game the usage goes above 2gb, it goes down to 27-30fps

Y’all just need to enjoy your hardware and quit worrying. This is too much of a worry for everyone right now, devs just need to optimize their games better.

Bro. Developers gotta put more focus on not using 200gb VRAM whenever they make a game

As a proud owner of the gtx 1060 3gb, I don't care about your new AAA games, leave me to play fun games with friends, well the only time I will change the gpu is when gta 6 releases which at this point is looking like it would take more time than the AEW fight forever game is taking to release

I refound the last of us part one remaster, bcuz it would not run that well on 4080 with 16gb. It's not the gpu issue, it's that the devs didn't optimaze their game lol

It's funny how a graphically stunning game like RDR2 needs less VRAM than fuckin Last of Us☠️

getting that 3090 at half msrp was actually a good idea, 24 gigs of vram will come in handy

Team Green: "Uh, oh! We totally didn't see that coming... Btw, here's 5060 with 8gb Vram for 2025"
