I think this is the best looking and the most comic accurate. That being said, I do feel it’s undermined by the fact that they depart from it almost completely afterward. So the sudden does kind of make me feel a little less connected to it. So while it’s effect is depleted by the fact that they abandoned the general design, I still love it.
I really love how they embraced the “beast” nature of the character. He feels like a beast, while still having the spirit of human hank within. Overall, very nice.

I love Beast. One of my favorite x-men mutants. In my opinion, I like this version better because he looks a little more animalistic than the others. Don't get me wrong I like all versions of him, but first-class beast is number one for me.

I for sure thought that Alex would be the one that Hank went after especially since throughout the entire movie all Alex did was tease and mock him. I was not expecting for Hank to go directly after Erik after he tried to pay him a compliment about his new look. I have to say it was a little refreshing to see especially since he was finally standing up for himself but I kind of wanted to see him go after Alex who was technically his bully in the movie.

i fucking LOVED that they chose a more feline approach to Beast in that movie. and i FUCKING HATE that they abandoned it in all the following movies and gave him the ability to transform in and out of human form. it completely strips away the themes of his character.

him having to watch Mystique abandon their pursuit of human acceptance while she leaves him with the words he needed most (never forget, mutant and proud) could’ve been his emotional anchor moving forward. instead it’s completely undermined for the sake of ‘people need to recognize the actor.’ i hate it. I FUCKING HATE IT.

although im not surprised, those prequel movies have a habit of giving us great designs for 2 seconds then acting like they never happened (i.e. comic magneto in First Class end credits and x-men suits at the end of apocalypse)
