Recently I have watched three of these Bill of Rights videos and by far this one is the best. Your description of the second amendment was masterful. Thank you for taking the time to do it right.

Actually, it was May 16, 1787. And it's constitutional convention wherein there are 55 delegates but only 39 attended and out of 39 only 29 sign the contract

I just discovered this video and it's pretty epic! I can't wait to share it with my students at the start of our Bill of Rights chapter. Thank you!

The First Amendment does not actually use the word "protest". In fact, all it says close to that is that Congress shall make no law restricting the right of the people to peaceably assemble - assemble, not protest - and deliver a list of grievances - a list, of grievances, not a bullhorn-amplified screech, or a group of people shouting at all hours of the night outside anyone's home. Deliver the list of grievances at the government office, and then go home. But that's generally not enough for activists - they want to scream on the off chance that someone hasn't heard what they're pimping.

"It's your right to say what you want..." No, it's your protection from Congress preventing you saying something Congress doesn't like in a public space. There is no freedom of speech on private property.
