The Confederacy of Independent Systems, shorted to CIS, and also known as the Separatist Alliance, was founded on the grounds of excessive taxation and corruption within the Galactic Senate. Thus in response, the CIS declared war on the Republic. In this episode of Star Wars Declassified, we take a look at all the command structure of the CIS, along with its military ranks of both the army and navy.

Who is your favorite CIS officer? Personally, I really like Kleeve, the most down to earth Separatist general we've seen in Star Wars media. Loyal to the cause, but also not foolish. Wish we got to see more like him in The Clone Wars.

I wish we saw the non-droid and non-clone aspect of the Clone Wars. No doubt the *vast* majority of soldiers fighting in the war weren't clones or droids, but soldiers of planetary defense forces and mercenaries.

I did a CIS admiral cosplay, it turned out well but I kept with the doctrine that there was no true uniform, so I went to CIS member world styles and historic references.
