A federal court has ordered tech giant Apple to pay up to a half-billion dollars to their former customers as part of a class-action lawsuit. Their former customers claimed Apple secretly slowed the performance of their older iPhone models. The company said they only did so to fix problems with batteries and processors. Each customer involved in the lawsuit is expected to receive $65 each.

The only ones that profit from class action suits are the attorneys. For many, like the Eubank vs. Pella class action suit, tactics used to pay claimants were downright criminal in order to award most $ to the attorneys.
