Thanks for the great recommendations! Wasn’t aware those titles are also affected by the Disney/Fox Deal. Have to add at least They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? & Since You Went Away to my next monthly Amazon order in August. Hopefully they stay in print so far. I already have the KL release of Intermezzo and The Staircase is actually getting a new local German BD release in September, which should have the same master and will be way cheaper for me to purchase than the KL release. Thanks again for your always very helpful, interesting and thoughtful cinephile videos! Greetings from Germany!

Indiscretion of an American Wife is a fantastic Kino Lorber disc. I’ll take the De Sica version of the movie every time “Terminal Statione”. It’s super interesting to compare to the Selznick cut. Really underrated if you love the Italian neorealism style. An audio commentary and a special feature comparing the 2 versions would have been great, but it’s a great disc anyway. There is a cool included music video featurette related to the movie. I like that song a lot.

The Spiral Staircase is an amazing movie that holds up very well on repeat viewings. The bluray is a must own! I especially enjoyed Imogen Smith's commentary-- that woman has a divine voice.

Intermezzo is a surprisingly touching film.

I own all of Kolchak both films & TV series with slipcovers! Easily one of my favorite releases from Kino! Their release of Night Gallery is also very good.

Can anyone gives me a heads up on whether blu ray and uhd titles will be mostly or totally discontinued? Some studios are heading towards streaming only and you can only see the rest following. In the time I have been buying blu rays approx 1500 in 4 months they have halved in price easily in just that time. I do wonder whether I am throwing good money at bad but since I have been collecting them it's become about enjoyment and nostalgia but every uhd release crushes the blu ray price especially as a lot of releases are dual blu ray and uhd. If they did collapse I could imagine in a decade blu ray if obsolete could become seriously collectable as a lot of titles sold in small numbers and the pucture quality will always be perfectly decent even if streaming went to 8k. I think nostalgia and that they are the last of the physical discs would make them a decent investment. Its not about money but its nice to have a potential nest egg rather than a money pit.
