New interim government has formed under Nobel Laureate Md Yunus formed in Bangladesh after Sheikh Hasina resigned and flew to India. With a hope to bring normalcy back, MD Yunus along with 17 members of interim govt took their oaths in Dhaka. However, the safety of minoritie communities, specially Hindus, in violence-hit nation remains a concern. On August 09, a large gathering of Hindu demonstrators took to the Dhaka streets against attacks on their properties. Protesters held placards reading ‘Hindu lives matter’, ‘Save Bangladeshi Hindus’ and photographs of vandalised Hindu houses & temples.
