Ms. Valerie Norton serves as Vice President of Talent Management & Acquisition for Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. Ms. Norton leads the Talent Management & Acquisition team at Broadridge, which includes diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, development planning, leadership development, learning, organizational effectiveness, culture, change management, HR communications, community relations, and sales capability. Prior to joining Broadridge, she held global leadership roles as Vice President of Talent Management and Vice President of Organizational Development in Fortune 100 companies, including BellSouth, ING, Merck and New York Life, aligning organizational strategy with business strategy. Her responsibilities have included cultural realignment and leadership transformation at Merck following the withdrawal of Vioxx, merger/acquisition integration, internal/external brand alignment, and transformation of the wholesale banking business at ING, and implementation of integrated talent management processes to build the leadership pipeline at New York Life. During her twenty year IBM tenure, She held line leadership roles in sales, marketing, finance, strategic planning, and consulting. She built and led three business transformation consulting practices, specializing in the human aspects of organizational change, and leading over a dozen transformation projects for major corporations. She serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the national HRPS (Human Resources People & Strategy) and is Co-President of the New York HRPS affiliate. She is a frequent public speaker on talent management, diversity, and organizational change topics. She is also Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Rosie’s Theater Kids, which provides developmental performing arts programs for underserved youth in New York. She serves as a Director of HR People & Strategy, Inc. She holds her MBA in International Business and her BA in French and Humanities. She has Completed executive programs in Marketing and Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Master Coach, change management Consultant and Instructor.
