You could try anti inflammatory gel to the area, heat pacs or ice pacs. You can also have the area massaged. But it will likely take a while to settle as your walking style will be constantly changing as you have only just had surgery. I would give it 6-8 weeks and reassess then. Hope that helps.

I just had a hip replacement one week ago and as difficult as that is most of my pain now it’s coming from the SI joint which I knew was bad, but I hoped that doing a hip replacement would help as my physical therapist told me there’s so many muscles and ligaments are attached to both of them. I am really exhausted and can’t do much due to the huge swelling on my thigh but the pain in the ass I joined is really aggravating everything. Is there anything I can do other than steroid injections and thank you so much in advance.
