Yes to My maps, and E-sims videos.
My iPhone 13 has both physical tray and e-sim. I’ve used the E-sim for my regular US carrier, and the tray for overseas physical cards which I top off at my destination on a re-visit. In settings you can toggle them on and off. However this tech, and also phones, have been changing rapidly. Newer iPhones don’t have trays. I didn’t realize that you could purchase e-sims ahead of time. Also, just now noticing that my phone has 2 e-sims available.😮
So yes please, more info, because this will definitely be easier.

Three trips planned this year: a week in the Spring in the Cotswolds followed by a cruise around Ireland; a short return trip to New Zealand in the Fall to visit friends and attend a wedding; a Christmas market cruise on the Rhine and Moselle rivers w/ Viking— Paris to Zurich and spending Christmas in Lucerne; then home to the US to celebrate the New Year! I think you recommended Time Shifter app in another video so I thought i’d give the trial a go.. it basically tells me to sleep the entire flight, both ways 😂 with a kid either side of me i’m not sure that’s happening but I love the idea!
