Welcome to this installation video for the Peak Stair Riser Connector.

In this video you will learn just how easy it is to install your Peak Stair Risers and Stair Riser Connector.
Let’s take a look at the tools and safety equipment needed to successfully install your Stair Risers and Stair Riser Connector.
Now, let’s get started.

Now let’s get started.
On a flat surface, stand 2 stair risers upside down one in front of the other. Then Place the Stair Riser Connector over the joint, taking note of the orientation arrow direction, and adjust until it is fully seated.
Use 3 clamps to secure the Connector to the Risers at each joint, then rotate the assembly 180 degrees so the Risers treads are facing up.

Using a 7/16th inch drill bit, use the predrilled hole on the bottom riser as a guide and drill through the top riser at the joint. Then fasten together using a 3/8th inch bolt, nut, and washers.

Locate the Square slots on either side of the Stair Riser and Drill a 5/16th inch hole through each slot on both sides of the bracket. Then thread ¼ inch bolts through the holes and fasten together using ¼ inch nuts, and washers.

Repeat these steps for each additional Riser needed for your project.
Now, determining the location of all stair risers ensuring the top tread support is 9 inches down from the deck surface.

The Peak Stair Risers rigid design Requires only 2 Risers for stairs up to 48 inches wide.

Mark the position of the holes to be drilled while the peak stair riser is in position.

Drill 9/32nd inch pilot holes at the fastener locations. Then attach the Riser to the deck using a minimum 3/8-inch x3 and a half inch lag bolt. For concrete surfaces. Drill a 3/8th inch pilot hole and use a 3/8-inch x 2-and-a-half-inch wedge anchor.
Measure and Cut 4x4 wood post to between the connector and the deck surface.

Then Fasten the 4x4 Post to the ground surface using the Peak 4x4 Bolt Down or Peak 4x4 Post Holder.

Next Secure the post to the connector using 4 #10 x 1 ½ inch screws.
Brace the 4x4 supports by measuring and cutting 2x 4 boards and attaching them using #10 x 2 ½ inch screws. Additional braces are required for Heights over 42 inches.
Once the Risers have been secured you can now begin to add the stair treads.

Measure and mark tread boards for the placement of holes to be drilled. Then drill 9/32nd inch holes through the board to allow for a ¼ inch carriage bolt to easily slide through.

Start installing treads halfway up the Riser using quarter inch x 2-inch carriage bolts, nuts and washers. The remaining treads are installed in the same way.
And there you have it. You have successfully installed your Peak Stair Risers and Stair Riser Connector.
