How to actually ENJOY the Process of Studying?

In this video, I tell you about a mindset which I try to adopt whenever I study so that I can fully enjoy the process and not just think of it as another chore. As students, we spend a lot of our time studying, and we don't always necessarily love the material about which we are learning, but this simple alteration can help you to relish the PROCESS of studying.
Keep in mind that I don't touch on the CONTENT of your studies at all in this video. In actual fact, I love to study largely because I enjoy learning new things -- and also because I know that it will get me to the places I wish to go; however, I do not talk about in this particular video. Just keep in mind that this latter point is also important and one which I plan on talking about in more depth in a future video :)

I think an important point often undervalued in her videos is the fact she comes from a stable/structured/loving family. With that, a studying ambiance is very compatible! She is very "lucky". When you have to create an environment to study in the mist of instability, studying is very hard, specially at home. To reproduce that environment somewhere else at that period, even later in life overcoming that beginning, it is quite a challenge. But it is possible!! Her videos are a great example to show what kind of environment children/teens strive both for her piers and parents, and work on to achieve it as much as possible!

I'm a 30 year old male who failed school miserably and am now stuck in a dead end job, so we are on very opposite ends of the spectrum, but your channel really helps me to just keep motivated in life and to stay positive

My friend just gifted me a sweater with HYGGE written on it and its definition. I loved this word immediately I learnt its meaning and now you are the first person I know who have actually talked about it❤

I’m in college and in between two semesters during the holidays, so I actually have nothing to study... But I wish I had known these tips when I was still in high school!! ❤️

As much as this is a lovely idea - I don't think 99% of people will ever think of studying as fun or enjoyable, that's not a realistic thing for almost anyone. However, it is something that can be fulfilling and productive, and informative. The act of completing studying is rewarding in itself, not quite fun though. But I admire your dedication Ruby! :)

In Dutch we also have a word for the 'Hygge' feeling you described. We call it 'gezelligheid' and I always find it very hard to explain that word in English. I think you did a great job at explaining and its interesting to hear we are not the only language that has a word for that perticular feeling. For me 'gezelligheid' is the most typical Dutch word ever. Just because you can use it in almost every situation. "How was tea with grandma?'" "gezellig", "Did you enjoy the Christmas holidays?'" "Yes, it was gezellig", "Do you have new pillows on the couch?" "Yeah, don't you think it looks gezellig?"

You are so much truly yourself, and I appreciate that a lot. I also love the way you share what really makes you feel happy, and your approach to life (believing in what you think, in sharing possible awkward things because you believe that can help someone else)❤️

I really loved what you said about switching off from the modern world. I wrote that whole monologue you said in my journal so I can go back to that advice when I need it. really lovely choice of words.

That's right! The feeling of coziness during your studies is priceless! 🥰 It's even better when you make yourself a cosy environment and study for pleasure, as a lifestyle.. that's so me! ❤️🤓

completely agree about the window, Ruby. My desk would only for in a corner of my room and I couldn't stand sitting there so I sawed the arm off my sofa to squeeze it into the corner, now my desk looks onto the garden and I'm naturally drawn to sit there all the time.
