The BOSS RC-1 is our simplest and most user friendly Loop Station ever, and it’s a ton of fun! Since the RC-20 Loop Station was first released in 2001, BOSS has led the way by continually releasing new looping products. Though they’ve been used and enjoyed by various looping artists and performers, BOSS still pursued an easier and more affordable solution. The RC-1 is a straightforward looper that is easy to operate. Experience the fun of looping when you record, playback, overdub and undo or redo loops using this compact BOSS stompbox. And of course, the RC-1 retains the BOSS quality and performance that musicians around the world have come to expect and rely on. On the top panel, there is a new and innovative loop indicator which consists of a 24-segment LED laid out in a circular pattern. You can quickly and easily determine the current status of the Rec/Overdub/Play modes. With a maximum 12 minutes of stereo recording time, the RC-1 is capable of capturing any extended performance that you can create or imagine! The stereo in/out jacks can be used with stereo effects and amplifiers. Additionally, they allow you to connect stereo instruments like synthesizers. Other convenient features include battery and AC power, as well as flexible external footswitching capabilities. The RC-1 is an especially great partner to start enjoying looping!

Thats the best demo Ive seen so far. No endless talking, just got right into showing what it can do, with a tasty uncluttered arrangement.

I just ordered one (my first looper) and I too believe this is all a looper needs.

That is fine-ass playing right there, I've immediately stolen his licks.

i really miss my rc-2 compared to this thing. i had to sell it when i was broke. then came back to buy it again later and for some reason went with the rc-1. i probably just havent gotten used to the rc-1, but man...i remember the rc-2 being super fluid and easy to lay down awesome loops.

I love mine. I just wish the battery lasted a little longer. However you can buy an adapter, sometimes it comes with the pedal, and you really don’t have that to worry about. But if you don’t have an adapter you have a limited amount of play time with it. I do play a lot though. And I’m always using my RC-1 when playing acoustic. When you raise the effect knob on there it gives the most beautiful overlapping sound I’ve ever heard come out of a loop pedal. Props to BOSS for making such a high quality and tough as hell pedal.

i got one of these things yesterday, my first looper ever, only played with it for an hour so far and it seems that there is a fine art to getting a seemless loop and its something you learn to use, it aint easy, i only got it to practice lead guitar parts and solos at home anyway i wouldnt use this at a gig it could cause chaos ive seen it happen.

So the amplifier I use has a built-in 2.5 second looper and it works fantastic on clean and dirty channels....
I purchased the rc1 boss looper pedal recently and it works fantastic as well with clean sounds but when I go to the dirty channel and play heavier stuff it seems the loop itself and me playing over it the two together kind of cut each other out or drown each other out sounds messy....
I've tried to mess around with the one knob on the boss pedal but so far haven't really got it figured out how to make the dirty channels be heard with one another and sound good.... Are these pedals more designed more for clean plane because everybody I see do demos on them isn't really plain hard rock or using a distorted sound ???
is there something I'm missing do I just need to keep fooling around with the one knob to try to get the mix to come out to where it sounds good ???

When it got pressed twice, did it go from the start of the loop or from where he stopped when it got playing again?
