Les Paul power.

If you're looking for a powerful rock machine that's equally at home in the studio or on stage, the Gibson Les Paul Studio is the guitar for you. A modern recreation of the traditional Les Paul design, the Studio brings vintage Gibson tones together with modern playability and reliability.

It's a dream to play.

Ultra modern weight relief and a fast playing, slim taper neck provide an excellent playing experience, while 490R and 498T pickups produce a wide range of natural tones. Coil-tapping these premium pickups gives a sparkly single-coil sound, while running them full on delivers the unmissable roar of a classic Les Paul.

Total tonal flexibility allows you to achieve your best sound - whatever your style.

I just purchased the Gibson LP Studio Plus in Bourbon Burst, The warmth and incredible tone is demonstrated to a tee. By this young man. Mine looks and sounds Fantastic. Luv the Studio.

I have the exact same guitar ( 2007 model ) minus the shiny finish on the body. My favorite electric guitar as it always stays in tune, the intonation is spot on, and is light weight, about 9 lbs.

I wasn't even shopping for a LP. Saw this in a store and thought it looked great. Something drew me to it. Two weeks later I own it.
Great demo! Now I need a Marshall amp.

I miss the Smokehouse Burst I owned. Beautiful tones! I planned on buying a Classic but the price went up so I bought something else. Still miss that Les Paul feel and tone.

I've got one, but mines a 2003 model without coil taps - still a superb guitar! Thanks for this review.

It's time to get a Gibson and this color combo is hot shit! Does the color look as good in person as it does on the video?

The one I bought is set up perfectly and actually stays in tune, unlike the last Gibson les paul I owned. I would also take these pickups any day of the week over the BB pros that I had on my last one that were sterile sounding. The 490/498 are warner... which is why the custom shop guitars have them. Now the cons... the finishes are boring and fingerprint magnets. I mean that black and red ones are sooo old... the tangerine looks like an easter egg. I bought the smokehouse burst and it looks like an ash tray from a 70s lounge... but is supposed to be a modern color? Again, sooo boring. Also, the coil tapping is worthless on this guitar... sounds terrible. Prs coil tapping is waaaay better in every way. If you are thinking of saving money and buying the tribute instead... and don't care to pay more for a high gloss finish I would say go with the tribute the coil splits aren't worth the added cost. I do think the finish looks better than most tributes but still lacking. But so are the new Gibson standard colors now... Gibson fans are just boring and only want the same old thing their rock idols had back in the day versus something new and modern. That's why I have three PRS guitars and only one Gibson. Prs is light years ahead with design, colors, etc. My cheaper PRS Chris Robertson even sounds better than my new Gibson studio and it's asian made..go figure. But again this studio is still a great sounding guitar. I'm so glad they got rid of the awful Kluson tuners. They were a real eye sore. Maybe that's why this one actually stays in tune. I'm still deciding if this Gibson is a keeper. If I didn't have better sounding and playing PRS guitars I would definately keep it. With all of this said at least you can get a usa pro sounding Gibson... same as the standard without the bling you don't need... for less that $1, 500. You have to spend about $3, 800 to get a core PRS... and the cheaper PRS either don't have set necks or are Asian made... but still epic
