As an Austrian I have to say. You should have fried the "Schnitzel" in clarified butter. That really makes a difference.

use "Butterschmalz" next time for frying, add seasoning to the egg mixture (I usually use beer, pepper & salt), try adding fresh lemon on the Schnitzel

Very Important, you need to Put fresh Lemon Juice on the Schnitzel. Makes it better and instead of oil Use pig Lard. Also Cranberry jam fits good 😉

Every Austrian, Swiss and German person in the world will tell you : we don't use oil for that, we use butter.

Hey, some advice from an Austrian 🇦🇹 :
- Season it with salt and *pepper* before breading. Fry it in *clarified butter*. And some *lemon juice* after it’s fried (much tastier)
- Try *Bavarian style potato salad *as a side dish (it uses oil and vinegar dressing with some onion, which adds a nice acidity and tang.) It can be served hot or cold.

As a german, basically everyone here loves Wiener Schnitzel. Its jusg generally a really good meal and its quite delicious. Gotta be honest, the Austrians did do a good job in this

Thanks for the high rating! The only tipp i can give is that the original side dish for Wiener Schnitzel (yes, the pronunciation was on point btw.) is Viennese Potato Salad. If you want to be completely authentic, you can fry the Schnitzel in lard. The jam is odd to me to be honest but still fits.

Almost perfect. Youd have needed a little more oil in your pan so it lightly swims and the breading can soufflé. Bonus points for using Butterschmalz(which is basically Ghee)
