That first "bun" is basically a donut without the hole and a bit more fluffy and soft, we eat it where i live as well. You're actually right on time because in my country we currently have like a spring festival thing and that donut is the most common food eaten on that festival. Glad you liked it tho they really are amazing, but it'd be nice if you buy some from the bakery as well because the store one usually taste bad imo😅
