The rebranded service provided a new API that allows merchants to add the payment service to websites, apps, Stripe, Braintree, and Google Assistant.The service allows users to use the payment cards they have on file with Google Play.
The Google Pay app also added support for boarding passes and event tickets in May 2018

Google pay on iPhones doesn't allow contactless payments at the terminal because Apple is a terrible company restricting the nfc capability to only Apple pay unlike android which has fully unlocked nfc and it works with any nfc capable device. If you want to use Google pay leave that terrible iPhone and switch to better android phones. Also Apple pay isn't as widely used as Google pay maybe in US and Europe Apple pay is used but in India it is nonexistent its simply unavailable. So iPhone users are kinda stuck but if Apple allowed nfc beyond Apple pay those users might have other payment solutions to look into but as always Apple knows what we need instead of allowing us to choose. This is dictatorship its like you can only do what we allow you to do. Yet some people will defend Apple's lockdown approach as being secure, its not security its like being in a jail.

I can't get it on my iPhone, I put it on my Mac laptop and it doesn't seem to work there either, when I look at it on my phone it says installed but there is a little aztec that says it's not installed on any devices, I'm trying to send some money to an app VPN that requires me to pay with Google pay, any ideas, anybody ???
