TRANSCRIPT

In Unreal, blueprints are a collection of components with logic applied to them. For example, a player. The player would have a model, collider, camera, weapon, etc. These are components that would make up the player. Then using visual scripting, we can apply logic such as movement, jumping, attacking, etc. When making games, you'll be using blueprints all the time for a large number of things.

I start to create games in vr for the Quest 3, but still have to start from 0 with blueprints. It helped a lot to get a basic understanding. :-)

I'd like to use your courses, but I'm using Unreal 5. Will that be an issue if your courses are in 4.24?

I have a little question about this Visual Scripting stuff. Can this do just as much as you could do with usual scripting or does this have it´s limits and require writing your own code for more unique and complex stuff ? I´m more on the creative side than the technical side so I have huge trouble working with self-written code. All this visual stuff seems a lot more understandable and user-friendly but I´m worried that this visual stuff only goes to a certain extent and I´ll be sitting there not able to continue because I discover that I need to write my own code for more complex stuff.
