Welcome to Another Episode of Ring Them Bells.
We exist to help you rediscover the Supernatural focus of your Bible.
Many know this channel went on a pilgrimage to Portland last year for a Hebrew Bible Conference at Multnomah University.

At the Conference I was blown away by Tim Mackie's teaching going over the book of Jonah.
Tim showed how the Bible gives wisdom for us to expect a enemy from within our religious systems.
Furthermore this wisdom reveals that, the least likely, the outcast, the foreigner, and those outside the religious structure seem to be more connected with "The Way" of God our Father.
Enjoy!

Buckle up and get ready for one of the most profound and enlightening discussions about the literary genius of scripture. We'll see how this points us to Jesus.

I love me some Ray! My fav professor!! He came to my wedding, though I didn’t stand out as a student.

Jesus wrecked me through his teachings. First class with him was Philosophy 101! I continually am so thankful that I got to take a philosophy class from an OT scholar that loves helping others think & impact culture from a biblical worldview!

Very insightful, connecting the story of Jonah with Joshua and other scripture. I do get it. Seems the original language is needed for a deeper understanding. Thank you sirs!

I enjoyed Mackie’s teaching. I’ve been doing this puzzle connecting with texts and language for several years now and teaching to a men’s group.
However, Mackinac did an outstanding job with the Jonah narrative. I have never seen a good teaching on putting these puzzle pieces together like he did. This actually made me subscribe to your channel. Thanks.

42 years of studying the Bible and it's fresher to me today than ever. It frightens me that the church can't seem to understand how close we are to the rapture, the desolation of Babylon, and the return of Yeshua. It’s all fulfilled. Watch and pray. Luke 21:24-28

Amazing, the scholarship seen here. Too deep and complex for me, but interesting none the less.
One thing that really shone through is that I believe the enemy within scenario is being played out strongly in the western evangelical world.
The god that the majority of western evangelicals have come to preach and worship, is almost exactly opposite of the Father, Son, and Spirit, who are love and who are profiled in 1 Corinthians chapter 13.
The evangelical god profile is very similar to Zeus, Baal, Molech or satan himself.
Very interesting overturning of the truth of who God is and what He is like, and who we are and how He sees us. That too is amazing.

It would be so phenomenal if we could get some of the teaching of Ray. Is there any way at all?

Jonah, like some instances with other prophets such as Isaiah and Ezekiel, is a type of Israel. Israel was called to be the light of the world, but shirked its calling so it could claim the inheritance for its own (see parable of the wicked tenants). Christ becomes Israel on the cross (hence the crown of thorns and Pilate’s sign saying he was the king of the Jews). Israel’s messiah is resurrected and the gospel finally is preached to the Gentiles (the rest of the world). That’s the point of Jonah and the reason why the Pharisees seethed with anger when Jesus answered their demands for a sign.

I feel like Jonah. I feel like I should go out to the corner with signs saying, "GOP LIES, USA DIES! TRUMP LOST! 2THESS2:11. I can't shake this feeling for too long now. Is that crazy?
