Powerful male lion attacks toddler through glass

Home video catches the moment a huge male lion tries to get his claws on three-year-old Sofia Walker at Wellington Zoo in New Zealand. Report by Mark Morris.

The lion is not attacking. It is CLEARLY trying to engage the youngster in a friendly game of patty-cake. The Lion is not fully informed about the clapping aspect of the game though.

If the lion attacked any human they would put them down immediately, its sickening since the lion is only doing its natural thing.. its like they want the lion to act somewhat human

When I was little, my parents took me to see white tigers whilst on holiday. I sat in front of the cage, just staring up at them as they came closer, both a male and female. They sat too, staring at me whilst licking their lips, making people tell my parents that they were looking to eat me. However, every time someone would come over, like a child wanting to see them or my parents coming to rescue me, they would suddenly sit up and become very aggressive towards the new person. When they backed off again, the tigers would settle down, sitting next to me by the glass.

Professional Lion reader here: that lion wasn't trying to attack that little girl, it was just trying to have breakfast, that's all.
