I've seen an enraged gorilla throw his full body so hard at the glass that it broke. A grown chimpanzee threw a full plastic bottle of water at a young woman hitting her so hard in the face. He was basically returning it with an angry vengeance as someone had just thrown it into his enclosure. These animals are wild animals and frequently they can devise ways to get around or through barriers, or simply kill themselves trying. They aren't meant to be held locked up, stared at, and sometimes teased by tons of humans going by. IMHO.

As soon as the little boy turned his head back the lion stopped dead in his tracks. That was amazing.. His Mother seems completely clueless.
