Junior and Olivia Break Up - black-ish

Junior (Marcus Scribner) and Olivia (Katlyn Nichol) have been trying a long-distance relationship while Olivia is pursuing grad school at Yale. It's been hard, and when Olivia is back home for a visit, she tells Junior it's time to end their relationship. Luckily for Junior, Pops (Laurence Fishburne) is there to help him pick up the pieces. I almost cried for Junior because I was really rooting for him and Olivia. The reason for that is because I'm kind of like Junior and at the same time I'm 20 years old and never dated anyone. So even though I never had a girlfriend, there was always the next best thing: seeing a dude similar to you get a girlfriend

I was rooting for Junior and Olivia. Call him a simp or a herb or whatever but Junior is a good dude and he deserves someone who loves him just as hard as he loves. I know he's going over to "Grown-ish" but he needs to stay away from Sky and that whole lil clique - them chicks' relationship stats are messy af!

Flipping called it. Almost a year ago exactly, I left a comment on one of these Black-ish videos titled "Junior tells Olivia he loves her" predicting they were gonna break up. And look at that, that's exactly what happened.

Ah yes, it feels so satisfying when you know a relationship isn't going to last because it's not a real relationship. Because let's be honest, Olivia and Junior were pretty much only a couple so the writers could explore social issues that young couples experience. And now that that Junior is going to be in Grown-ish they can't have him be in a committed relationship. They need to keep him single so they can write terrible stories about him getting into all sorts of relationship drama.

Olivia was never a true character, she was a tool to drive the plots focused on Junior forward. And now that she's no longer needed she has been cast aside. It's a sorry way to go but inevitable when the writers only intend for you to be tool to drive the plot. Too bad Olivia couldn't have gotten better writers to actually make something of her.

I'm not sure why people like junior and sky together, they should leave it as a fling and be done with it. I really liked olivia, but I understand where she's coming from. Such is life.
