MY F150 RUSTED ROCKERS VIDEO - FORD USED DUCT TAPE 😂

WHAT I USE TO UNDERCOAT MY VEHICLE - VERY INTERESTING .

How to apply undercoating and prevent rust yourself is a money saver and you know it's getting done right. If you have an air compressor already the undercoating gun is a great addition to spraying your own vehicle and saving yourself a lot of money in preventative repairs because of rust. I used fluid film today and I highly recommend it as well as the other products I have mentioned in other videos.

Good morning Sir !!! I always do it myself for the same reason than you ( I had a 1985 B 350 Dodge Ram Van for over 30 yrs ) ( sold it 4 yrs ago ! ) I use oil base in spring to removed salt and oil/hydraulique and grease at fall to cap off against salts. Cheers Sir !!!

I use Fluid Film on just about everything. It is a great product. In fact I just might try it on my toast in the morning.

Down here we didn't need to rust proof for years. But now the state uses salt and brine on the roads when we have ice. I'm sure now we will need to get in the habit of rust proofing now here too. Thanks Steve

Fluid Film washes off. Fact. It doesn't even last you through the season, as shown in your demo. It's better than nothing, though, provided you pay attention as it wears off and reapply. A better choice would be Cosmoline. RP-342 which should last you a season or even two if applied properly (good prep). And don't just spray the "obvious" places. Moisture and salt gets in everywhere and the worst kind of rust is the one you don't discover until it's too late.

I picked up a gallon of FF just for this. Havent done it yet though. Ive been using CRC marine heavy duty corrosion inhibitor on the crx. You can spray it on bare metal and it sticks and doesnt come off unless you want it to. I sprayed bare metal that i ground down and its still rust free. Ill have a video out soon on the crx showing it.

I was expecting more of a spray pattern like with an airless sprayer. That nozzle is just a hose with no spray. It would take weeks to do a thorough coating of the underside of a vehicle. I guess that's not the applicator I'm looking for.

Fine job Steve, that product looks like it goes on good without to much over spray !

Your method should save folks quite a bit of money!

Spraying the key spots will make that gallon last a long time. As you know Eric recommends Fluid Film as well. Pretty good stuff.

Such a smart idea and good job! Where it snows a lot I guess you do have to use rust prevention for your vehicle.

I use fluid film on my Tacoma every year before winter. The frame still looks almost new for a 2008 and living in Wisconsin.

I don't own a AC with 4 CFM's so what I do is buy several cans of Rust Check when they go on sale and I spray under my cars at winter tire change time. Good vid and technique though, thanks for sharing.

Hey I’ve rust proofed several vehicles. I have a nice gun which I purchased as a kit from Waxoyl years ago. It will spray just about all rust proofing products. It has the long wand for getting into doors, rockers and quarter panels. I’ve used Fluid Film. I like a product called Pro Form. It’s petroleum based with wax and goes on in amber color. You can see what the painted or metal surface is doing or holding up. I also seen you video on the duct tape holes. I have seen this done on other manufacturers vehicles. Nice video

Good job. I really should do this to our vehicles before winter. Edmonton has started using Calcium Chloride on the roads and it's rusting everything in sight and eating away at the concrete. There's a guy here suing the city for the damage to his garage floor.
My Hyundai is a little too far gone to worry about but maybe I'll do the wife's Honda and the F150 before the now hits. I already have the gun for it.

It is always better....To do yourself. Good Video and I wish I would have started doing that on my 97 Ferd Plow Truck. Just wheel bearings and exhaust manifolds and stupid little things, but and that baby runs and I can fix it all.
