Not a chess player except the occasional game with a family. Thought about getting into watching pro chess players but this incident has me not wanting to watch. Magnus throwing a fit like a toddler when beaten and accusing cheating and Niemann throwing a huge lawsuit to counter it. what magnus should have done was brought the accusation to the game watchers to see if they can catch him. By going public with the accusation was to destroy not bring up the cheating possibility.

I think nobody here actually listened to the podcast. That was a law professor, that knows exactly what he is saying, and fully understands the law. He said Hans has an uphill battle even on the defamation count. Everything else, zero. Hikaru will be dismissed likely at the first hearing, since there is no evidence to support any of the allegations against him.

If they have specific complaints against Hans, then I hope they specific proof. For anyone to use historical data to justify a current outcome would be ludicrous. Proof is required.
