I've always known since I was a child that vegetables were bad news. I'm 33 years old and I've been a carnivore for over 22 years, and I can tell you the health benefits are simply amazing. I'm in perfect health and I have PERFECT energy.

I have been carnivore for 4 months and love it. Hubby is working towards it. However, it still blows my mind about plants and I mostly avoid telling anyone what I am doing because it is such a mind feck. I love this video because it is reassuring.

Now we know why kids must be forced to eat their veggies ... it's instinctual....

I’ve been eating 2-3 lbs of steak with 8-12 eggs a day for 90 days, and the health benefits have made an absolute drastic change in my life and lifestyle. I’m 6’4” 260lbs and a former athlete and retired infantrymen. I Lost a lot of fat and feel phenomenal!

The two plants behind you are listening to every word you say, and they are waiting for you to fall asleep tonight! 😆

I followed the advice of a keto expert and ate 7-10 cups veggies a day for years! Ive been carnivore for 60 days. Already noticing major improvements, less puffy, bloaty. Ive had a knuckle pain for years that is gone. Maybe it was oxilate build up.

I'm so happy I'm carnivore. I just got off the phone with my Dr and she said whatever you are doing stick with it, your blood work is perfect!!!

I didn't like the taste of veggies since being a child. Back then I thought there was something wrong with me, because practically everyone around me ate veggies.
Now I realized how wise I have been 😂

I'm having Brussels tonight. I did carnivore for four months and then my body started craving some vegetables again. I'm okay with no grains, but I had to add some veggies back in. I'm not eating a lot, just added a little back in and now I feel my body has hit a sweet spot. Even if the veggies are going to kill me, but I was getting miserable prior to adding limited amounts back in.

Growing up, I would ask to go to the bathroom every time we ate, and spit my vegitables in the toilet! My mom caught on, and said I couldnt flush, so I spit them oit the bathroom window😅🤣😂

Thank you so much for your videos. After a failed start last year, I am now more. Dedicated than ever. Having a better understanding of the body and how it works. I eat meat and sometimes eggs only once a day. I have never felt better in years . I swim 5 days a week, hiking a lot, go to the gym. Most of my issues have disappeared. I have been have been thinking for years about doing a 5000 km hike, which only 30 people have ever accomplished. I am using this as a goal, so anytime I might consider not adhering to the diet, I have a goal I want to accomplish in 3 years time. Thanks so much. So important to understand how the body works.

I have three small children at home. My wife and I have made the conscious decision when they were babies to not give them any vegetables my five-year-old. Just got an absolutely perfect bill of health from the doctor. Doctors specific words were this baby couldn’t be any healthier you’re doing a great job Dad.

Here’s a fun fact for the doubters out there…Professor Bruce Nathan Ames was born in 1928 and is still alive today, at age 95.

Anthony: do have references for books that list carcinogens of common vegetables?

It is common knowledge (at least where I live) that you shouldn't eat too much rhubarb because it contains oxalic acid. The same warning doesn't exist for spinach which has even more oxalic acid. Quite the opposite, spinach is promoted as "healthy"

Thank you so much for this reminder. My husband is keto so I occasionally have some romaine or cabbage or other low oxalate vegetable with him. I don't notice any negative effects, but perhaps they are doing damage that can't be measured or at a threshold that isn't apparent.
I'm going to get back to a stricter regimen, and send him this video. Maybe he'll get on board. It's much easier when a household is in dietary alignment.

Hi Dr. Chaffee.
A couple of questions.
Could vegetables have a "hormetic" effect? Why do a lot of studies state the benefits of fruit & vegetables for some diseases? I know you generally don't answer or delete the comments you don't agree with but the question is really fundamental. Thanks.

If an animal eats a poisonous plant and dies, then the animal does not have a chance to learn from its mistake. The animal can't keep choosing other plants until it finds the right ones to eat. It stands to reason that the thousands and thousands of different species of animals across the world would have to already know instinctively, which plants to eat and which not to eat in order to survive.
