Oh man that Windows 10 forced upgrade was rage inducing. I run a recording studio and had $10K+ worth of Firewire high end recording gear, and none of it had Win10 drivers. And one day it just upgraded it and I came in the next day with a session booked in and the whole thing was on fire. I think the resulting support call to microsoft was the only time I've actually angrily shouted at someone over the phone. That studio now runs on a mac (And the gear is now upgraded to thunderbolt stuff, which aint cheap)

Much simpler solution, go to the BIOS and turn off TPM and Secure boot. Suddenly, in the Microsoft eyes, the PC becomes e-waste unable running Windows 11.

It's looking like I'll stay on Windows 10 until the day comes when I'm not on Windows altogether anymore. That's why I've been knee deep in Linux content lately. There's definitely a learning curve, but nobody was born knowing how to use Windows either.

I will never have this problem because Microsoft itself refuses to install Windows 11 on my computer. Their decision that my computer is not suitable! It's not me that I can't give them money, they themselves decided that they don't want to have me as a user of their OS sublicensed use anymore!

Microsoft should have delayed the end of support of Windows 10 by 3 or 5 years, like the delay of Windows XP by 4 years.

My personal computer auto updated itself to Windows 11 three times. One time I was away for about 10 days, and it had happened while I was away. Each time I was able to roll back to Windows 10. The only way I've been able to stop it completely was to disable the AMD TPM in the bios. I did the same thing for my wife's computer after it auto updated itself once too.

Easily nine PC’s in my house. I’ve converted ALL but one (it’s on W10), to non-Windows OS’s. There will be no W11 in my household…

Love having Windows pro edition having access to group policy is awesome. Make it so much easier to set these things rather than Registry edits.

Mr.Cyber
Back in February 2023 I was acutely manic and tried windows 11 but borked the whole thing
then i tore my whole system down and it went to hell in a handbasket.
October 2023, A Calmed down me, I bought an AMD X570 Unify along with other goodies
and did a clean install of win11 and this time it was a painless experience.
11 is not perfect but I'm completely fine with it.
Others may have a different experience.

I can't update to Windows 11, but I'm still getting the full screen adverts telling me to upgrade. Microsoft have completely lost the plot. I wish Microsoft would focus on other things, like making their old software work on Windows 10 or remastering them. Microsoft used to be a great company but all they seem to care about now is getting and selling user data which is why they're trying to push everyone onto Windows 11.

The easiest way to not have windows 11 is simply disabling your TPM2.0 or install Windows 10 LTSC.

Thank you for this video! I have been mentioning this registry entry in comments to people, but they had no clue. I've had it set in my registry for over a year now, and had forgotten that Microsoft was pushing "upgrading" so hard...I have not been bothered since. I did upgrade to 11 once, hated it, and when I pressed the link to revert back to Windows 10, it bricked my system. I had to reinstall 10 from scratch. What fun.

I'm using Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 so, I still receive mainstream support, extended support until January 13, 2032. So, I haven't seen security issues whatsoever

When will Microsoft learn to quit pissing off their users?

Another simple way to stop Windows 11 is to go into the BIOS and disable TPM. Then your PC isn't qualified for 11. TPM can be easily re-enabled if you later decide you want 11.
