Thank you. I’d never have found the flat side of the needle to let it through without your video. 😅

Thank you for sharing your knowledge in clear, precise way. This is a cool tool. I hope I can fix my sail shade with it.

Thx for the tutorial. We have our late mothers sewing awl. We’ve never used one, so needed to see how this operates.

You can quicken the process a little by putting a (preferably blunt) needle on the end of the string so it can work through the loop a bit easier

Thank you very much for this helpful video.
I have recently purchased an old sewing awl from a used-horse-equipment shop, and I wasn't sure if I was using it correctly.

Would have been a great video if you showed how to complete the stitch.

Great explanation. Hard to see at the beginning though.... black thread against a black vest.

The jerk needle is the best option of them all for shoe repair and leather sewing and much more easier use

I have a quick question. after you are done stitching is there a special way to tie off the thread so that it holds and/or looks better?

Have you ever sewn buttons on a wool coat with this tool?

What I heard is that an awl stitch can sometimes stitch better than a sewing machine
, also a sewing machine cannot always stitch through heavy material I .Appreciate what is shown on the video

Do you sew nylon? I am trying to reattach nylon billets by hand to my Aussie saddle without sending it in to get taken completely apart.
