Thanks Rahhav for these videos, really easy to follow and clear explanations! :)

I notice that User1 and User2 get error mentioned below, the workaround is to ensure to create users after the role based strategy is switched on and restart of jenkins

In more detail:
I've noticed one difference between my experience and your tutorial:
User1 and User2 don't have access at step 6 above as I get this error:
"Access Denied
user2 is missing the Overall/Read permission"

However, I created a User3 after step 6, and now User3 has access to the Projects that match the pattern.

hope this helps others who are working through these tutorials.

regards,
Dave

On my jenkins setup, admin permissions are available without even having logged in. I was told by a coworker that by default jenkins comes that way. So I didn't observe what Raghav showed with user1 having restricted access

BTW thanks Raghav for the helpful and clear screencasts, they've definitely been helpful!

It is a very useful video. I think You missed one thing. There are some cases when multiple patterns needs to be added to a specific role. For example if I want to give Dev and Test pattern to user1 then I have to type Dev.*|Test.* . For me it wasn't clear at first time.
