I love DG. He talks like a university professor but dresses like a plumber, then rips out the most iconic guitar riffs like they're nothing. Love 'im.

God has blessed this man with talent beyond belief, may he live many more healthy years.

Many ears ago when I was a kid I spent a whole afternoon learning the opening acoustic solo and here I am again aged 70 still fooling around with it.

I will never get tired of watching David Gilmour play a guitar. It's up there with sunsets and starling murmurations. Simply mesmerising.

Gimour is the greatest rock guitarist ever. There may be others who are technically better, but none who can convey the emotion he does with his playing. So much of his work hits me in the ear, but strikes me in my soul.

Looked like he had a tear in his eye. I can't even imagine the memories he has from this song.. 🤔👍

The way gilmours eyes started to water when he started to sing. He feels the music just as much as anyone, and I hope he puts on one more last show cause I’d pay a fortune to see it 👌

Wow. Seeing all that emotion still there after all these years with that tune is good, and hard, to watch. At the same time.

"Vaguely right"
After playing both parts flawless. What a legend.

The one thing that always amazes me about David Gilmore is how incredibly humble he is. It’s almost as if he has no idea how many people he has affected with his talents. I don’t admire many people but he is a hero to me.

Went to see Pink Floyd at the now demolished Earls Court.
Loved every minute of it..
The journey down, the excitement, the couple of beers, before.
The walk past the tee shirts because we couldn’t afford it.
Sadly I’m 72 now but still a fan.
Thank you David.

You can see it in his eyes he still feels it like it’s the first time he played it. Fucking legend and I wish I could have seen him live. Gilmour you are on the top 👌

I’m so glad I practiced playing that song trying to nail every note, every chord, slide and bend, because I can play that song as close as I possibly can to the great David Gilmour.
It’s the most requested song in my family.

John - how did you keep from melting into a complete puddle at 4:56? Such an incredible privilege to get this private informal performance - thank you so much for sharing it. David Gilmour seems like a genuine and down-to-earth soul. He's taken remarkable care of his voice and guitar playing over the years - very inspiring to see someone age as gracefully as he has. Your channel and interviews are phenomenal, thanks again for sharing!
