Windows 8 Developer Preview Demo

Well I have decided to download the Windows Developer Preview and try it out. I actually got it right when it was available, and, ironically, I was recording the CC Cast episode for the BUILD Windows keynote address when I got it. In this demo, I show some of the greatest new features in Windows 8. I also talk about some features that other systems had for years that Microsoft finally added. And last, I talk about some things that need to be changed for updates Windows 8. Please let me know your opinions on Windows 8, and feel free to ask questions.

@robloxlover55 Win 8 will run fine on your computer assuming that the drivers work. And you can be a viewer by going to our website and clicking the Live button.

@Windows7Fan1 Yeah... I mean... this stuff with Windows is cool, but it's still full of old-school technologies, they finally added features that other systems have had for years, and they still don't have some basic features that other systems have had for years.

i have been running win8 as my daily driver since they released it, and i really love it. i still browse youtube for win8 videos to see if there might be something i didnt know about. i just wanted to say that this is a fantastic video. very professional.

@robloxlover55 Well I really can't tell you until you clarify a bit more. When you say you have 1.75 GB unusable, does that really mean you only have a quarter-gig of RAM?

@MsAvedis I heard there is some program that changes a registry volume and it disables the Start screen.

hey, you can navigate the Metro screen by swiping up and down on the trackpad! I love the multitouch support! Its seems that windows 8 works better on apple hardware than on some of microsoft's OEM's hardware. smh, those guys need to step it up.

@EricssonXL And I'm waiting for the next game of Half-Life, but we don't always get what we want, at least, not right away :) Just kidding, but that actually can be true. But in all seriousness, we just released a new version of Crap Edition, and we just did a whole HTML5 version of Crap Edition, plus we made a very small preview of Crap Edition 12. So that has been updated a lot recently. Computer Showdown, on the other hand, is something that may take a bit of time.

@speedbroadcasted Yeah, I heard of that trick, I just never tried it yet. I mean, I really think the Start screen is cool, but after a while, it would be SUPER annoying to keep switching to it, and back again.
