USS Royal Pattern Navy Officer Sword Demo | Kult of Athena

This was the first regulation sword issued by the Royal Navy – the 1805 pattern Naval Officers sword. A descendent of the 1803 Infantry Officer Saber, the blade was altered from curved to straight.
This 1805 Royal Navy Officers Sword has a blade of unsharpened, tempered high carbon steel. The guard, backplate and pommel are brass. The grip is of faux ivory with inlaid brass wire. It comes with a leather scabbard with brass accents and brass hanging rings.
