Scorpion EXO-GT920 Helmet Review

Like one of our favorite TV-beaming, earth-orbiting friends, the Scorpion EXO-GT920 Satellite Helmet is ready to provide great memories, good times, and an enjoyable view through the window in front of our faces. As a graphical option that is now available for the EXO-GT920, the Satellite offers riders a modular helmet that comes in at an entry-level price point, yet features a plethora of options that will help to make the most out of their ride. Cool Tron style aesthetics aside, the GT920 Satellite helmet boasts an Everclear No Fog face shield, the Scorpion SpeedView internal retractable sun visor, and aero-tuned ventilation that moves air smoothly throughout the helmet.

Wore it on 3 rides so far and it's comfortable and good quality. A step up from my Bell Qualifier.

Looking a little small Anthony. Time to get back to hitting the weights hard again.

Thank you for removing the interior pads and liner, that's what I needed to see!

I love this helmet. Altho taking the visor off can be tricky, with patience and common sense, it's do-able. Bottom line, I was waiting for an AFFORDABLE modular...BINGO. Thanks, Scorpion !

The weight factor is important to me. I have a Shark Evoline 'modular' helmet. Very clever overall design; but its weight is oppressive compared to my similarly priced AGV composite shell full-face. They could all save a lot of weight by shit-canning those cutsie, retractable sunshields. Convenient yes; but my neck could do without the added weight while allowing for possibly more/ better venting at brow level.

Great helmet. Had one for two years of heavy communing use and it is great!

Great to see the venting channels are routed correctly for cooling. I currently have a Bilt Evolution and the venting channels are not routed from intake to exhaust so it heats up in the summer. Will definitely consider this for my next modular lid.

I just replaced my Scorpion 900x with the GT920 and its a much better helmet in every way.But tight on the cheeks.

I have currently have 4 full face helmets (Shoei GTair to Gmax 69 < just because it's an awesome number) and looking forward to getting my first modular. I'm down with Pinlock and being a year round rider it's almost a must. I love how this helmet looks. Put Pinlock or something like it and I'm sold.

Anthony, a lot of the reviews are complaining the cheek pads are really tight, and that they sized up and still are very tight. Sizing up seems like a dumb idea, because a non-proper fit will result in the helmet accelerating into your head during an impact and thus transferring the road force to your skull rather than absorbing a substantial portion of it.

Should this fit the same as the Scorpion Exo R410? The cheek pads on that were ridiculous, and mellowed out after 1, 000 miles. I wear glasses, and popping my helmet on and off is a considerable burden requiring multiple steps of essentially disassembling and reassembling my face; the modular design at least will let people hear me better when I stop into Target to pick up something.

"It's aggressive, very aggressive"...I think its less aggressive looking than the EXO-900X (biased, I own the 900X).
"And now they give you speaker cut outs!" The 900X has speaker cut outs, mine does. Bought it from Revzilla. Had to expand them, maybe thats what Anthony meant?
I do dig the new visor tech on the GT, but dont like the exposed look of the visor gear on the sides in comparison.
I also like the sun visor comes a tiny bit further than the 900X, thats nice, but not huge - for me.

Sad they discontinued the 900X, it stands out as a really rad modular for the price.
I love the airfit system, but I can see its not for everyone.

Looks like the weight savings comes in the changing of the modular locking system and the removal of the visor side panels, that locking system with the pins is completely different than what they have on the 900X.

It's cute and all but I don't trust a modular lid. Going right now to order that Bell Qualifier DLX "Devil May Care" I been wanting. Thanks Anthony. I've watched, decided and am about to ride!

How about for folks who wear glasses. Does the inner shield interfere with glasses? Thanks!

Hi, I am a British based rider. I am not sure why you have not reviewed the Roof Boxer and Roof Desmo. I find your reviews extremely helpful and would love to hear what you have to say about these two helmets. Keep up the great work. Cheerio!

Why doesn't the chin piece fold all the way over like the previous model, the EXO-Tech? That's what I want, I'm now going to buy the LS2 Valiant because you don't make them anymore.

In the video for the 900 you called out the peak visor that was an optional accessory vs being included in the original 900. In the video for the 920 there is no mention of the peak visor. Is that functionality completely gone with the "upgrades"?
