I have a cast iron plant (Aspidistra) that has well and truly filled out its pot over the past few years. Wonderful to know I can plant it out into the perfect spot in our garden! Thanks for your videos

A big 'Thank You' for creating/sharing this wonderful video. I'm from Dallas, Texas and this is my kind of garden. Is it possible to discuss "Micro-climates" and how to better understand and create them? Many many Thanks 🌻🐝🌻

Layering is key to any garden! Thanks for sharing; it gave me ideas on what to do in my zone 7a garden for a tropical feel.

Aspidistra used to be a great pottes plant when we owned a flower shop in the 80's and 90's. It was hearty in Florida.
Nice video Matthew and Stephen.
Bamboo here in Windermere, Florida zone 9b (Orlando) is a Wild Grower.
Beautiful ferns.
As always. Well done and see you next week 👩‍🌾👍

Grow aspidistra in the North of England outdoors without problems. Hardier than people think.

Love the birds nest fern! If I plant it outside in an ideal location, then how large will it grow? I’m in zone 11b/12a.

Arum hygrophilum can be a good addition. Pops up in winter and I never water it.

Wondering here if northern gardeners like FNQ pine for and try to create cool temperate gardens ..lol . I would feel seriously compromised by having a garden full of Palms Bromeliads and Philodendrons . We are a contrary lot sometimes.

My 96 year old dad has a two meter wide aspidistra that mum planted about 50 years ago, I am thinking of bringing it to my garden, will it transplant with success?

Why don't you just grow the clumping bamboos, that don't run!
