I wish this video or the linked video showed how to start the braid at the top. Starting midway through the braid doesn't really help.

Came here to have questions answered. Left this video with more questions. Just a pointer, but when doing a tutorial on something you might want to include ALL the details and instructions. Would help noobies like me want to watch more of your tutorials.

I really want to make a flogger but there was just too much needed info left out. How was the braid at the top and bottom of the handle set up and started? What was the length of the paracord stands? etc. But thanks for the info you did give.

+Deadl0ck, your comment, while harsh, does have some truth to it. This tutorial is not misleading, just incomplete. Some people can figure out the beginning of a knot or braid, some people can figure out the end, and then there are those of us who just want to know so we can do it right. Now, to +Paracord Guild, your addition of a tutorial on how to start the braid, the various methods, should be included above in the video description. Tutorials should be complete, start to finish, even including things like removing the inner strands of the paracord and saving them for later. Just so everyone can be on the same page at the same time.

Yeah... and you aren't telling us about the BB's in the tails, or if you put a rod into the handle for stiffness, or the transition bolster for the falls, and how you treat the ends? No, just "Here is a handle, presto a flogger!"

so in your witten tutorial you said in the beginning that you cut 6 peices of rope the same length and then doubled that. How long did that end up being

I used 1100 paracord got both ends then got the other ends and i tied it all up and pretty loud whip

I think your flogger design would look better if you but the bigger knot below the ring. and then but the Spanish ring knot on bottom for your transition from the herring bone to the strands.

no video anywhere online shows how to start the braid for around a core and after a dozen attempts it still looks great on one side and looks like shit on the other

seriously....come on...show how to start the cording for wrapping, starting the braiding, etc.
