I used both of these for an extended period of time. I bought the vertical first expecting it to be the better option, but I found that the shape was not very comfortable and my thumb would get tired very quickly because the shape required that I pinch much harder in order to move it around; this became unfomrotable over extended periods of use. After a few days trying to force myself to get used to It i took it back to Bestbuy and exchanged it for the Lift and it is my favorite mouse to date. I use it everywhere I go and often use it for 10+ hours at a time HIGHLY RECCOMEND. Note I have medium to large sized hands so this mouse fits a range of people despite their advertising the vertical for larger handed users.

Question regarding the scroll wheel. Does the lift allow you to swap between 'clickity' scrolling and 'free wheel' scrolling (ie, like my current mouse G502)? I gather the MX Vertical doesn't have that?

The scroll wheel on the lift goes crazy, and it is impractical if you press the mid button a lot. Also the side buttons on the lift default to "hold to horizontal scroll" or something, which make them not registered as holding down in some program. I observed this when testing on a game, where binding camera rotation to side buttons (due to the unusable mid button) would not work, unless I turn that horizontal scroll off using the software. This means that I cannot kill the background process if I want to keep it that way. I am glad I tried out both of them, and I think it would be a good idea to do so if you get a refund policy that allows it.

Thanks for making a video on this topic. Certainly helpful for those who are shopping for a vertical mouse to help alleviate wrist pain. In France where I'm staying at the moment having originally been from the US, there is a used electronics store called Happy Cash and they are selling a MX Vertical for 25 euro $26.85 USD for those who may be looking to buy. Just saying that $70 may not be what someone needs to settle for as I know the used market even online can be up to 50% less.

I have huge hands and love the vertical. It also looks lovely.

Shame it doesn't have a freely moving scroll wheel

I have no clue why I watched the entire video. I'm not even in the market for a new mouse.
