Having Gordon, who is nothing if not a monster of pure ego, bow down and decide to swallow all his pride in the face of pure talent, is to me the purest form of victory Midge could have.

Her mother being proud of her and saying "that's my daughter" just broke me. and to think back when she couldn't even bear the thought of Midge going on stage without getting plastered, ugh, I CAN'T

You know what touched me the most in the finale: not only her fantastic act, not only Gordon's or writer's respect, and even Susie's totally astonished and amazed look. Its the fact that all Midge's family came, laughed, and were truly proud of her. Since season one, we saw that her family wasn't on board with her job as a stand-up comedian. Even Joel in the beginning (its later he became her biggest supporter - with Susie). But here, when her parents rushed through traffic, asking every taxi to take them to the show - was truly touching (shame that Moise couldn't make it). Her friends were there too. And Joel, telling Midge to joke about him.
Truly beautiful, amazing, Marvelous show!

This is the moment where Amy Sherman Palladino makes you cry. Especially when Gordon Ford says "the magnificent, the magical, THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAILSEL". It's so beautifully written ❤

To me, Reid Scott's delivery of Gordon telling Midge she was fired was one of the best things about this scene. He hit the line perfectly between "You're fired because of that shit you just pulled" and "You're fired so 'the rule' no longer applies to you." A fantastic blend of both ego and admiration.

To me, this last season was the perfect and fitting way to end a series. No quick last episode that tries to wrap everything up in a neat and convenient bow, but, 9 entire episodes that showed glimpses into the future that finished their respective stories.

Thanks to everyone who worked on this show from cast to crew!

When I say I did not see it coming that I would cry the amount I did- I REALLY DID NOT SEE IT COMING. I cried multiple times throughout the episode- but this part got me bawling my eyes out especially when they cut to Susie putting her hand on her heart. This show was one of the most special, well done shows of all time. And it's gonna be even more praised as the years go by <3 wow gonna miss this one.

This is the most cathartic finale we couldve gotten. Its not at the end of every series where the lead gets exactly what they wanted, but Midge deserved it and the journey made it so satisfying

"thinking the life you should be living is out there somewhere but not being willing to open the door and go get it..." This monologue is the reason why I gave my notice at my job last week.

I just love how the only person who she couldn't look at for long is Susie. As if looking at Susie being so emotional was too much as it is. It's so touching.

What I love about this scene is the way that the light changes. When she begins her set she has the lighting of a TV show, a little harsh and full on. The camera starts to circle her and the light changes to a more golden glow and by the time the camera comes back around to the front she is standing in a spotlight, the gaudy curtains of the TV show having faded into the background with the entire focus just on her, like the star she has become. Great series, I might just have to re-watch the whole thing!

I loved how Joel was so proud of her and then Midge blew him a kiss.

Suzie putting her hand on her chest at the end, and Midge and her with tears in their eyes. There's acting....and then there's true love and respect that these women have in real life for one another. I'm going to watch the whole series again and again until they take it off the air! Priceless!!

This last season for me was a proof that SHE KNEW. SHE KNEW all along that her kids would hate her. She knew all along what it costs for her to achieve her dream. But she was brave to go for it. She was brave to stand in front of everyone who opposed her from day one and say This is what She is. Infront of everyone who did not understand her and say This is what it is. Proving herself time and again.

But, all this did not change her nature one bit. She was the same self. She dint have to change her hairstyle, her dressing style, her sense of what is good and bad. She never hesitated to say Sorry. She never was rude nor was she overly timid. Heck, she didn't sleep with anyone as shown in every other similar story.

She just got it with what she has.. knowing very well what it costs..

This is the best series (humour, fashion, emotion) I've seen in decades. Cried at the end of this scene, but absolutely bawled when Abe told his cronies that his daughter was remarkable. I, too felt sorry for Benjamin, and would have loved to have seen him again, but the inclusion of Hank Azaria was pure gold. I wish we'd seen more of him. He can make you laugh and cry in the same ten seconds. Give me a month and I'll be back watching this all over again from episode 1.

It was definitely Rachel and Alex crying in the end and not Midge and Susie. 🥺😭

At first I was irritated by all the time jumps in this season, but after watching the last episode, I understood why they couldn't have done it any other way.
A great series. I'm a little sad that it's over now.
But: "all good things must come to an end eventually!"
