HRL History - St-Félicien 2015

Encore une fois en 2015, St-Félicien suivait les Régates de Valleyfield dans le calendrier HRL.

Bon départ pour tous les concurrents de la finale 2.5 Litres. Contrairement à Valleyfield, Leah Hoosick a pris le départ dès le début de la course et n’a jamais regardé en arrière. Karson King a bien tenté de combler l’écart en prenant l’intérieur, mais cette manoeuvre échoua quand elle fit un crochet, ruinant ainsi sa course. Cette faute a ouvert la porte à Michael Tremblay et Guillaume Charette qui complètent le podium en 2e et 3e position respectivement.

Après son difficile weekend à Valleyfield, Rob Stevenson avait la ferme intention de revenir à l’avant scène lors de la finale de la classe Formule 2500. À la sortie du premier virage, Stevenson avait déjà établi sa domination. Tout au long de la course, jamais Stevenson n’a été inquiété. Derrière lui, Donald Leduc et Jean-François Latour ont complété le podium. À noter la vigoureuse bagarre entre Tyler Kaddatz et Yan Lecompte finalement remportée par Lecompte.

Jimmy King absent, Bert Henderson avait la tâche de mener le H12 à la victoire. En prenant un départ parfait, contrairement à ses opposants, Henderson voguer vers une victoire facile en classe Hydro350. Ce fût une autre histoire pour la deuxième position alors que Sylvain Campeau et Nicolas Rousse ont livré une belle bagarre qui a virer à l’avantage de Rousse. Campeau s’est alors contenté du 3e rang.

Henderson n’a pas eu le temps de célébrer trop longtemps car il devait sauter dans le Steeler pour la finale Grand Prix. Comme en Hydro350, Henderson a fait un départ parfait et il a dominé de bout en bout sans jamais être inquiété. Mike Monahan, de l’extérieur, a mené une belle course et s’est adjugé la deuxième position. Tom Pakradooni a complété le podium.

In 2015, as in the past, St-Félicien followed the Régates de Valleyfield on the HRL calendar.

It was a good start for all competitors in the 2.5 Litre final. Unlike Valleyfield, Leah Hoosick ledfrom the start of the race and never looked back. Karson King tried to close the gap by taking the inside, but that maneuver failed when she hooked, ruining her race. That opened the door for Michael Tremblay and Guillaume Charette who finished second and third respectively.

After his difficult weekend in Valleyfield, Rob Stevenson was determined to return to the forefront in the Formula 2500 class final. At the exit of turn one, Stevenson had already established his dominance. Throughout the race, Stevenson was confident. Donald Leduc and Jean-François Latour completed the podium. Behind them, Yan Lecompte finally won out in a fierce battle over Tyler Kaddatz.

With Jimmy King absent, Bert Henderson had the task of leading the H12 to victory. By getting off to a perfect start, Henderson sailed towards an easy victory in the Hydro 350 class. It was a different story for second as Sylvain Campeau and Nicolas Rousse ran a close race. Rousse gained the advantage and Campeau settled for third place.

Henderson didn't have much time to celebrate. He had to jump into the Steeler for the Grand Prix final. For a second time, Henderson had a perfect start and dominated from start to finish. Mike Monahan drove a strong race on the outside and took second. Tom Pakradooni completed the podium.
