The ego is where we experience the most pain if we allow it. It makes us try to hold onto things that are bad for us because we want to prove a point, our ego wants to feel better after we’ve been wronged…Forget it. The understanding that people will have to answer for their own behavior, not you - will help you let go with ease and never want to look back or put yourself in toxic situations again. Looking inside yourself and figuring out what you REALLY need in life without ego can make a world of difference. It’s not all money, it’s not a title or popularity. What I want is a peaceful life without constant negativity and evil. Whatever it takes to get that is what I’ll do. I know alone is not a scary place for me because at the end of the day, I know my conscious is clean.
