I have played the whole story about 5 times already, still cant get enough of it. In my opinion this is the best game ever. Am I the only one? I always have a soft spot for characters that I see growing up in games/movies

A lot of people complained that the personalities of Connor, as well as Arno in AC Unity weren't developed enough, but I disagree, and I think people are being so negative because they want Ezio's personality in every Assassin. If you look at the story, Connor lost his mother, his father was either his enemy or his very strained ally, and his people have been repeated attacked and excluded because the colonists wanted the land. While Achilles trains him, there's not a huge amount of love between them and they don't really reconcile at all until after Achille's death. Of course he doesn't have that support to develop a personality like that of Ezio has.
In a similar way, Arno's mother left their family when he was a young boy and his father was murdered, as well as the adoptive father being murdered as well. While he had Elise to support him, he still didn't have those family connections Ezio does throughout his trilogy.
Ezio, on the other hand, yes, lost his father and two brothers and the love of his (younger) life, Christina, but he had the support of his mother and sister to help him recover, as well as meeting Sofia in his later life.
Long story short, stop judging Connor and Arno against Ezio.

By far the most underrated AC game there is. I feel that the depth of the narrative and the seriousness of the story was a little too much for the demographic that Ubisoft try and hit...

...If this were a movie - I have no doubt it would be praised

I remember when I first saw this, I didn't think "Wow, this character looks extremely interesting and amazing.  I can't wait to play as him."  I thought "Holy shit we finally get to climb trees"

I absolutely loved this game, the reason is because I could tell Ubisoft tried to make a great and emotional game. I feel that this one had the best story, gameplay and setting, it had an extremely interesting main character and a great blend of different styles of gameplay. Its a real shame that it was slightly flawed but at least this game had heart, unlike black flag and the later games that just came out.

I ton of people that haven't played the any of the AC Games hate on it. When I was like 10, I went to my brother's house, asked what he was playing, it was AC3. He let me try and play the game and I was like (OoO) this is the best game ever. So did some research and brought the other AC Games that were out loved all of them. Anyways, you shouldn't hate on a game until you played it. Like Unity, people are hating cause it's not 1080p HD graphics. I love the AC franchise and it's my favorite game franchise ever.
