It amazes me that someone could confess murder to a friend and they don't report it...

The drug found in Amy's system is scopolamine, pronounced scope-ol-ahmeen. Accent on the "ol". It is an alkaloid found in solanaceous plants such as belladonna and henbane. It is prescription only but not a controlled substance. It is classified as an anticholinergic. A common use is in a patch to help with motion sickness. It has many other uses as well, see wikipedia for more info.

Several thoughts:
1) "the victim(s) met with foul play". Ugh!! That foul play person has an awful reputation and poor timing!! So many people meet bad ends after seeing them!!
2) "relations of the victim say they wouldn't have opened the door for a person they don't trust". Duh!! Who would?!?
3) "(based off the evidence) the victim must have been taken by surprise by someone lying in wait in their apartment". Who comes home knowing that someone is going to be lying in wait for them?!?

No, I DON'T UNDERSTAND what was being referred to by stating "biological material."
ALSO, when they say Steven couldn't move her body because he weighed 240 lbs... what does THAT mean? Or had they intended to say that "SHE" weighed 240 lbs?
I don’t understand!

The two women killed, newlyweds Kylen Schulte, 24, and Crystal Turner, 38, had told friends they feared a "creepy man" they had seen nearby might harm them before their bodies were found Aug. 18.
"Creepy Guy" is a character not a very good description for LEO. Sad.

It's not just blood it could be semen, or sweat or urine or faeces, basically anything that came from a human body.

0:05 Cold cases are a frustrating subject. I hate it when I watch a video claiming a cold case was solved only to find out it was click bait and not really solved.

This isn't you. But, Linda's murder had been solved back in 1995. In fact, it wasn't even a cold case when it was solved. She disappeared in November 1995, and Rathburn led police to her body in December 1995. So it really wasn't a mystery, and the intro about cold cases etc. isn't even relevant to this case.

i remember sobek's case. it was everywhere. csi even did an episode based on it years later. it was never referred to as an case that needed the words 'finally solved' as the perpetrator was found and put away quite quickly.

Sounds like the cops were protecting Vail--who went on to murder multiple other women. Why did they do that?

Ah, the old "ticket to Mexico" ruse, aka, the Shawshank Deflection. One of the oldest tricks in the serial killer book.
