Janelle is by far the best breakout pop musician in the last few years. She's scary-talented, mad sexy, intellectual, creative, and a f*cking awesome dancer with a positive message to boot. Oh hell, Janelle why don't you just marry me, lol!

I'm almost positive we're going to be seeing a lot more of Ms. Monae for years to come. Listening to this album for the first time made me feel like getting in on the ground floor of something amazing.

Its not just me that doesn't know about cindi. I've talked to a bunch of people who feel the same way and I have read comments on youtube about it too. There doesn't seem to be a clear story arc of whats happening to this cindi character apart from the few songs that she has released so far but yet the way she talks about her its like we have been following the character for years. Is there a song that really lets us know who she is? is there a website?

@TerryDProductions,

I think you've made an interesting point, but I think Lady Gaga and others have proven that if the music quality is there, fans will easily warm up to detailed and thought-out concepts behind the artist. I have no doubt Janelle can pull that off, though it's all definitely quite eccentric. It is, however, refreshing, and I think labels are FINALLY realizing that it pays off when all your artists aren't bubble gum pop machines. Here's to May's release of the Arch Android!

@MrBananas333 obviously thats not what she was supporting, nd i doubt shes aware of that. im not even aware of that. she was juss singing in support of their festive commercials while simulataneously getting her music heard.

This is great commentary going on here. Yeah, I agree with you completely wonkachild. I really do feel an album like "The Audition" would def be better for her to market herself with 1st. I believe the world could develop a relationship with through Janelle, better than Cindi can.

thats whats wrong with the music industry today, people are caught up comparing instead of appreciating each artist for what they bring to the table...everyone should really just accept each individual artists as such, and stop comparing them to everyone else..that just levels people's art and thats not fair everyone is good in their own right and within their own creativity #imjustsaying
