I'd love to see more super-simple microwave recipes, perhaps with something savoury.

Recipe -
1 tbsp salted butter, softened melt in 20 second bursts
1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon granulated sugar added into the butter
1 egg yolk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla added
2 heaped tablespoon plain flour (heat treated) and 1 tablespoon chocolate chips. Fold in. Top with more chocolate chips
Microwave medium heat 40 - 50 seconds. Allow cool for 1 minute and serve warm!

Heat treated flour is so easy to make.

Place the flour on a plate spread out evenly and microwave for 30seconds.

Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds.

Repeat stirring and microwaving for 30 seconds another 2 times.

Totally cooking time will be 2mins.

It should have a nutty cooked smell. You can also check with a thermometer if it is 75°C/165°F or above it is done.

If you think it still smells raw or hasn't reached the desired temperature, give it another stir and 30 seconds in the microwave.

I legit just made this. I didn't have vanilla extract and I used choco chunks instead and used 2 tbsp of brown sugar. Will definitely try this again.

It’s just a soft cookie but a warm mug cake yummy 😋

Ingredients:
1tbsp softened salted butter
1tbsp light brown sugar
1tbsp granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
½tsp vanilla
2 heaped tbsp (heat treated) plain flour
1tbsp chocolate chips (+ extra for topping)

1) In a ramekin, microwave the butter in 20 second bursts, stirring until fully melted.

2) Add both sugars and mix until combined.

3) Add the egg yolk and vanilla and mix until combined.

4) Add the flour and mix until combined.

5) Fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkle some more on top.

6) Microwave on medium (500W) for 40-50 seconds.

7) Allow it to cool for 1 minute before serving.

8) Enjoy!
