So glad I bought the Sony X950G 65".. Had it for 3 weeks now, awesome picture, no bloom to speak of when looking straight at the tv. There's blooming from angles as is expected. If you watch your tv straight on, X950G is a major recommendation from me.

I noticed something while shopping for a new TV earlier this week. Many manufacturers don't pay enough attention to how the cable management aspect of a wall mount will be handled. Most TV brands have all the inputs on the right side (when facing) of the TV. The only ones I found with the inputs on the "correct" side for me were HiSense and LG. Note that I didn't check all the brands. In all cases though the power goes in on the opposite side. i understand it's probably because to keep the TVs thin, they can't really stack component boards like the power supply, I/O and logic boards. I wound up getting the H9F, it was about 400$CDN more than the H8F and at first I had pretty much settled on the H8 but once I saw them side by side in the showroom the difference was evident. Thanks for the review, it helped me narrow down the models I wanted (ok not really, it helped me narrow down the models I COULD AFFORD...) prior to even going out to shop.

Really liking my qled 60r. Even though it doesn't have local dimming. It still has nice deep blacks and no noticeable light bleed etc so far. Fantastic TV. I would recommend it to those that don't want to spend over £1000 for the 70r or an oled

I watch a lot of channels related to TV's and rtings is clearly one of my favorites. I had the X850E which had a defect and I had it swapped out most recently through warranty exchange at Bestbuy and used my store credit for the X950G. Rtings and other tv reviewers helped me make the right choice. The X950G is the first FALD I've own and boy, what a huge difference vs the 850E which despite being edge lit with frame dimming vs full array, was still a very solid unit back in 2017. Some are arguing the tests made by rtings but hey, I've become a TV enthusiast and I know they speak the truth cause I ran a uniformity test, local dimming test, clouding/light bleed test (many vids on YouTube for that 👍). And everthing Rtings and crew said with regards to my model was bang on! I like it how geeksquad looked at me when I took the remote, went to youtube and said "grey uniformity test" and I looked at them and said "have to make sure I did not win the panel lottery" . THEY seemed confused. No need for calibration. Custom is perfect for all non HDR content. For HDR content, Dolby Vision bright during the day and Dolby Vision dark in a dark room for movies. Rtings was absolutely 100% correct. Netflix mode does not add much benefit.

Just replaced my 12 year old Pioneer Kuro with the C9. Such an amazing tv and gets very bright even in direct sunlight. Hopefully it will last me 10 years but it won’t stop me watching tv reviews!🙈

For people outside the US the Panasonic OLED TV's (like the GZW950/954 models) are worth considering if picture quality is at the top of your priority list. As seen in the HDTV video's these TV's are well recommended, although at a slightly higher cost than the already very good LG C9.

Excellent survey and recommendations!!! Currently I'm deciding between Samsung Q70, Q80, or LG B9. I only wish Rtings.com could include models available not only in the US (e.g. Panasonic is sorely MIA.) Also possibly projectors in general, including laser ones. I just ordered the Q80 because of your content, reviews and comparisons online. If I were going 65", then it would have been C9 but since we needed 75"+, the best but is the Q80. Thank you very much for the work you do!!!!
