American Airlines Business Class in 2024 | Is it worth it?

Today I’m flying an American Airlines airbus A321 in Business Class from Puerto Rico to Miami and reviewing the full experience. The seat is the exact same as what is usually in domestic first class, so I’m not actually sure; was this business class or first class? And is it worth the upgrade?

Great trip report. The seat looks spacious and comfortable. The meal was as you say nothing fancy but definitely adequate on a two and a half hour flight. Shame about the lounge at San Juan- looks overcrowded and the food didn't appear very appetising. Finally, top marks to the crew who sounded like they handled the fainting passenger competently and compassionately. Look forward to your next video, safe travels!

With your onward BA business class ticket you could have used the admirals club in San Juan

Domestic first class it’s the same as international business class.

Took a flight from Chicago to ft lauderdale American first. Also have a ambassador club membership so it’s more but I’m old and I like to sit in the boogie seats

This looks like first class on AA. How is this different?

You flew in first class domestic. MIA-SJU is not considered international by AA and other US carriers....for US travelers.

Delays are standard for @americanairlines. I travel for work and every single flight is delayed because of their poor scheduling of personnel, planes or their gate agents inability to enforce policies. Clown show it has become.

I haven't flown American in 5 years and was so disappointed when I realized that the video screens have been removed. I always fly business and expect some sort of entertainment on my 6 hour flights. Use your own mobile device? I DON'T THINK SO! Watch a movie on my tiny phone? YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING! I'm going to use up my miles with American and switch to another airline that offers entertainment screens. Bye bye, American Airlines.

I cannot believe BA thinks just putting 2 people in a standard seat with a table over the middle seat makes this a business class cabin. This airline has lost the plot. They should look at Middle and Far Eastern airlines to see what real business class looks like. BA is a national disgrace, not only are planes old and tatty. The staff are rude and unhelpful. They should be made to take the flag off there tail fin
