This is a look at the business class seat on an American Airlines Boeing 787. We flew in seats 5H and 5D from Venice to Philadelphia.
These are rear-facing seats, and the flight took about eight and a half hours.

Thanks so much for your review. My husband and I will be flying that same type of plane with American in August of 2024 to Zurich from Philly. We will have seats 2A and 3A. Looking very forward. Will be our introduction to business class flying. Hopefully, American will be a good choice for us--it was a good itinerary and the "right" price. We shall see. Have heard mixed reviews of American these days, and our experience with them in economy and premium economy is very inconsistent.

Nice review John. I have never seen rear facing seats before.

Nice video. So if (2) people want to sort of sit together and be able to talk - what seat configuration should they book? Thanks

We are doing the same flight next year....I thought they were going to change the seats to a newer version?

Is there an under seat area or any area to tuck away a personal carry on (small backpack) ? To keep it handy 😊

We are taking a flight from PHL on this plane, and I was trying to figure out what are the best seats for a couple. There are a lot of reviews about feeling the movement of the connected seats (behind you). Were you bothered by that? Could you talk to your travel partner easily from these rear facing seats? Thanks for the review!
